Ramdane Belamri, Born in Sétif, in northeastern Algeria, Grew up in a city renowned for its harsh winters and freezing temperatures. From an early age, he understood the true value of warmth within the home and the vital importance of energy in everyday life. During winter, diesel fuel was not merely a commodity, but a necessity for survival, while firewood was regarded as a form of precious wealth. It was there that his awareness of energy challenges — and the need for sustainable alternatives — first began to take shape. Nearly four decades later, as a journalist, Ramdane Belamri traveled across some of the world’s most prominent capitals and cities, covering wars, international crises, and major global conferences. The notion of “crisis” was a constant presence throughout his professional journey. Yet journalism, for him, was never limited to reporting events; it was also a mission to search for solutions through informed analysis and responsible writing. With more than twenty-five years of professional experience in print, television, and digital media, Ramdane Belamri has built a distinguished career combining journalism and academic research. He earned a PhD in Media and Communication Sciences from the University of Algiers 3 and is currently pursuing an international doctoral degree at the University of Seville, Spain. Drawing upon this professional and academic background, he launched this digital platform with a clear objective: to address the pressing challenges of energy and explore sustainable solutions. From its inception, the project has focused on strengthening Algerian-European cooperation in the fields of energy and renewable resources. In its long-term vision, the platform aims to evolve into an AI-powered digital hub providing reliable information, in-depth analysis, and forward-looking insights on the global energy crisis, climate change, and the innovative solutions required to confront the environmental and energy challenges of the future.
